Imaginisce Cottage Christmas Layout

Woohoo, it's Friday again! My favourite day of the week. The kids have their sports on Friday afternoons (tennis for Jack and dancing for Em), then we come home and have an early dinner, then settle down for our Movie Night. I love it just as much as the kids do, although the movie choices are not really my thing! But cuddling up on the couch with my 2 favourite people in the whole world, without having to nag about homework and bedtime always makes it a great night :)

And...I love that I can stay up super late scrapping after the kids go to bed, and not have to worry about waking up at the crack of dawn to get the kids sorted for school. I have heaps of new papers that I'm dying to scrap with tonight, and I can't wait to get stuck in. Since getting the Imaginisce Cottage Christmas goodies I've been going through my old Christmas photos, and I'm now on a mission to scrap them all before this Christmas. Here's a page I did using this cute range, with a photo of Emily from Christmas 2008...

Poor Em, she was so desperate for a Cabbage Patch Doll, and wrote numerous letters to Santa about it. But she was a bit naughty sometimes...and sometimes I would find her crying quietly to herself, and she would tell me that she knew she wouldnt be getting a Cabbage Patch Doll. Oh, talk about heart breaking! Especially when I knew my mum had already scoured the shops for the cutest Cabbage Patch Doll with brown hair and brown eyes, just like Em.

And now...my mum is a bit cheeky, so she had bought a teeny tiny Cabbage Patch Doll, and put it under the tree, and when Em unwrapped it, she put on a very brave face, and said that Santa only gave her a little one because she had been a bit naughty, but that it was ok and she still loved it...

So we went through all Christmas Day, and after the party at my parents, and after the kids were bathed and everything, mum pulled out one last present for each kid, and gosh, it was worth the wait to see the look on my girls face! I don't usually scrap Christmas Day photos on their own, because there are always so many, but for this one, I just had to :)

And here she is with her new besty, (who she named Montana, and who she still loves nearly two years on)...

Oh gee, look how much I've written! I guess these old Christmas pics are making me reminisce, which is what scrapping is all about hey! (and did you know that "Imaginisce" is a cross between the work 'imagine' and 'reminisce'? How cool is that!) Well, I'm off to clean my house and get my scrapping stuff ready for when the kids go to bed tonight. Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with some more shares. Hope you have a fabulous weekend!!!

A Couple of Fancy Pants Layouts

I've been a bit of a slack blogger lately, haven't I? Only because I've been SO busy! You know how it is, lol. I have been scrapping up a storm though, and have a tonne of layouts that need to be photographed. I just need some brighter days to do that though, as taking photos on these rotten overcast days makes the colours come out all weird. (and I am a lost cause in the photo editing department!)

I do have a couple of layouts to share, that I've only shown sneak peeks of on here. Both of them use Fancy Pants Rusted Sun papers, as well as a few embellishments from Purple Pumpkin. I don't do double page layouts very often, but it feels good to scrap so many photos at once. This one's for Em's album...

And this is a single page for my nieces album using the same range...

And a close up of the little 'clothesline' banner...

The chipboard titles on both these pages are from A2Z Scraplets...I just love 'em! Well, as much as I would like to scrap today, my housework is calling me, so I'd better go and whiz through it before it's time to pick up the kids. I've only just dropped them off, but the school day just seems to fly by in the blink of an eye.

Hope you are having a great week!!

Imaginisce Cottage Christmas Layout

I don't know about you, but I always have so many Christmas photos to scrap! Not just of Christmas Day (like that isnt enough!), but all the other things that go with it, like decorating the tree, kids making decorations, cooking, leaving out carrots for the reindeer and snacks for Santa...the list goes on! As much as I love that time of year, by the time Christmas is over, I'm usually so over it that I dont feel like scrapping about it.

So when I got the Cottage Christmas range in my dt box from Imaginisce, I was more than ready to start scrapping last years Christmas photos! I couldnt wait to get into it actually, after seeing all the scrummy papers and cute embellishments, oh, and the stamps!! I love 'em! Here's the first layout I've created with this range (kind of a different one for me, I know, and NO title!)...

And some close ups of course...

Make sure you head on over to the Imaginisce Blog to check out some more projects using this range, as well as for your chance to win some fab prizes!!

PS - Thanks for your comments on my last post. I know a lot of people probably didnt want to watch it, and it is sad, but it actually has a nice ending, and shows that they can sometimes be helped. The more people who know about it, the more hens that can be saved :)

This Isn't Something Scrappy...

But it's something that's really important. I can't believe people still buy cage eggs, but I still see them in the shops, so maybe some people don't realise how wrong it is to support battery farms. Chickens are beautiful, smart, friendly creatures, and don't deserve the horror of a life in a battery farm. Please watch this, and if you know anyone who still buys cage eggs, please show this to them too. If no one supported this industry, this wouldnt need to happen anymore.

There are battery hen rescue organisations in Queensland and NSW that I know of so if you have room in your heart and in your yard, why not think about giving a few girls a new life?

Scrap The Boys - Fancy Pants Layout

Well, my child free 24 hours is just about over. I'm heading over to Mum and Dad's to pick them up in a minute. Can you believe I actually stayed up til 3am!!! It was great. I actually FINALLY got to do a challenge too. Every month I plan to do some, but it just never happens. This one is for Scrap the Boys, and you had to use stamping somewhere on the layout (mine is the arrow).

I used my new stash of Fancy Pants Like Father Like Son papers for this, and also lots of goodies from Purple Pumpkin too...

Aren't those little buttons so cute? I am loving the little cars, and I think I'll be using those heaps. Well, I'd better get my butt into gear and go pick up those kids. Hope you all had a great weekend!

Fancy Pants Roadshow Layout

Have I had this layout on my blog before? I dont think I have. It's one of my class layouts, and one of my favourite double page layouts that I've done lately. I'm really not a huge fan of the double page layout, and will generally only make them for classes, as people seem to love them. I have to admit though, that a double is great for event photos. Actually, when I first started scrapping, I very rarely did a single page layout, they were all doubles. Back in the day when I loved to use just cardstock and stickers, hehehe. Things have sure changed! Here's a pic of each page on it's own. Double pages always come out so tiny on the blog!

And of course, a close up...

I love these flowers, and make them so often.(you can find my tutorial here) And I'm just in love with this paper range! Actually, there's two ranges here, the background is a different FP range, but it went really well with this range too. I just got the two latest Fancy Pants ranges as well as some new Bo Bunny, so fingers crossed, I will get a chance to play this weekend. Actually, what am I saying? I will get a chance to play! Mum and Dad are coming over for dinner tonight, and taking the kidlets home with them for a sleepover. Which means I can scrap all night, and all day tomorrow, while the kids are off fishing, and bike riding, and having fun. Yay!

Hope you all have a great weekend! I'm off to organise my supplies, so I can get stuck in as soon as everyone leaves :) :) :)

Imaginisce Apple Cider Layout

Have you seen the new Apple Cider range from Imaginisce? It is absolutely gorgeous, with yummy warm colours, and has the most adorable little racoons and squirrels on the papers and embellishments. I used the I-top to make this cute little brad using one of the racoons on the papers, I just couldnt resist!

I used the I-Rock on this page too, see the little blings on the apple here...

And on this bit, I used an A2Z Scraplets flourish, and I've I-Rocked over the top of it with the black rhinestones...

Now, Imaginisce are having some amazing giveaways to celebrate the release of this new range. In fact, they are giving away prizes every day, and there is even a chance to win a Cricut machine, just for signing up for their newsletter!! So what are you waiting for...make sure you head over to the Imaginisce Blog today!

It's Nearly Over!

Wow, the school holidays are nearly over! And wouldn't you know it? The kids have stopped fighting so much and have been playing beautifully together. Why couldnt they have been like that through the rest of the holidays? Actually, it might have something to do with me letting them make a big cubby out of blankets in the lounge room. They've filled it with toys from their play room, and have been having fabulous little parties in there. I will miss having my rascals at home, but I have to admit that I'm looking forward to some quiet days where I can actually get something done. (Like clear up that lounge room!) I definately prefer the summer holidays, where we can spend heaps of time outdoors and at the beach.

So what about some scrapping? I have actually got a heap of new layouts here that I'm dying to share....but I can't just yet. So I will leave you with this tiny little sneaky peek of a secret layout that I wont be sharing for a little while yet...

Isn't that button just the cutest? Well, that's all from me for now. I'll be back real soon with something I can actually show you :)

Another Imaginisce B-Day Bash Layout

It's official....the kids are driving me CrAzY!!!

This morning they have been fighting, whinging and carrying on, their playroom is a TIP, they refuse to clean it, and I just feel like running away and hiding. Aaarrrgh!!!!! I am no longer loving the school holidays. Bring on next Tuesday when they go back!

Anyway, enough whinging from me. I haven't been doing a great deal of scrapping in the last week (because I've been spending my days taking the kids to the movies, the zoo, the park, play dates with friends, having friends sleep over - and they've been whinging that they haven't done anything fun during the holidays!) Oops...there I go again...!

Ok...so I do have this layout to share, using Imaginisce Birthday Bash...

Love this pic of Jack on his 2nd birthday. He'd already had his party with his real birthday cake but on his birthday night we popped a couple of candles on this cake and sang happy birthday to him again. So cute (probably should have wiped the chocolate smears off his face first though, lol) I made loads of brads with the I-top to sit in all the scallops. Took me ages but it was worth it...

And I fired up my I-Rock and blinged up the title too (which is a cut up springy embellishment from the range)...

Make sure you keep checking the Imaginisce Blog for more giveaways of this fab range.

Ok, well I'm off to nag those kids again, then I think I'll be taking them for a big play at the park this afternoon to get some of that energy out of them. If they're tired enough, hopefully they won't be at eachothers' throats. Wish me luck!

Here's another page I made using this range. This one's a bit different for me - I feel like I hardly used any paper on it!

I am totally loving all the cute embellishments that come with this range, especially the candles and the banners - so fun! I'll be back soon with some more Birthday Bash shares :)
